Hey y’all! I’m Rachel! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m an enneagram 2w3 in life, but a 3w2 in the professional world, and I currently live in College Station, Texas. Chalk and Coffee began as a digital portfolio and has grown into this magical space where I get to share ideas and learn with all of you! I love sharing all of the math ideas and read alouds, favorite earring finds, and bits of encouragement along the way.
I have taught 3rd grade and 5th grade. I learned along the way that I have a passion for math and sharing my ideas. I have presented on engagement and math strategies to first year teachers, virtually, and at the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematic Teaching (CAMT). My goal is to always show ways to go from teaching math concretely to more abstractly while keeping it fun and engaging for students.
